For over 20 years, Greater Piedmont REALTORS® has supported and invested in the community our members serve through civic projects, donation drives, scholarship awards and direct contributions.
Greater Piedmont REALTORS® Good Neighborhood Committee hosted a Red Cross Blood Drive Thursday, June 6, 2024.
In a heartening display of support from our members and community we were able to collect 32 lifesaving units of blood!

Greater Piedmont REALTORS® continued the long tradition of presenting scholarships to the 7 High Schools in our footprint of Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, and Rappahannock Counties. Students met certain criteria and had to submit an essay on “the importance of homeownership” to apply for one of our scholarships. The local high school counselors selected the winners based on our criteria. Our GPR Good Neighbors Committee presented $3,500 in total scholarships on our behalf over the past couple weeks!
The Good Neighbors Committee wants to thank all our generous donors who donated to our Sports Equipment Donation Drive!
With your help we collected over 1,204 pieces of sports equipment including: 12 Air pump compressors, 68 basketballs, 68 dodgeballs, 32 footballs, 205 jump ropes, 12 soccer balls, and so much more!
Our Good Neighbors Committee helped collect, sort, separate and deliver items to the 11 Title 1 Schools in our footprint and the Fauquier Boys and Girls Club and the Madison Boys and Girls Club.

Greater Piedmont REALTORS® “Ignite Others” project was held today to illuminate our support of the local community!!! REALTORS® partnered with Foothills Housing Corporation, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help low-income residents find and maintain affordable housing. This was a great opportunity for REALTORS® to demonstrate our commitment to affordable housing by hauling and spreading ~12 cubic yards of mulch for this renovated space that will accommodate 2 two-bedroom and 2 one-bedroom apartments in our community (local landmark of Ben & Mary’s)! #ThatsWhoWeR
Greater Piedmont REALTORS® collected over 160 boxes of cereal and $220.00 at our “Stuff the Tent” cereal drive during our Annual Meeting September 12, 2023. 4 local area Food banks cereal shelves were just a little fuller, thanks to you!

April 20th the Good Neighbors Committee hosted a BINGO Night at the wonderful Molon Lave Vineyards, where 100% of the proceeds were donated to Hero's Bridge!
An amazing night, playing a sold out crowd (over 125 people), who enjoyed an amazing spread of delicious food donated by over 12 local business, winning 39 prizes donated by our Good Neighbor Committee, and 18 raffle prizes donated by our Good Neighbor Committee and local business.
We were proud to donate over $5,800.00 to Hero's Bridge, dedicated to serving elderly Veterans.
Greater Piedmont REALTORS® Good Neighborhood Committee hosted a Red Cross Blood Drive Friday, April 14.
It was a huge success, with a goal of collecting 23 pints, thanks to our Donors we surpassed and collected 33 pints!

Greater Piedmont REALTOR® (GPR) volunteers spent the month of March reading to preschoolers through teens at Head Start and Boys & Girls Clubs in Culpeper, Madison, and Fauquier Counties. REALTOR® Volunteers visited 7 locations, read to ~360 children, sang songs, and donated books at each location in an effort to demonstrate the importance of literacy while having fun!
The CARES Committee wants to thank all our generous donors who helped share the warmth this year!
With your help we collected over 391 hats, 402 pairs of gloves & mittens, 596 pairs of socks, and 64 scarves! That's a total of 1,453 items to help warm up our community.
Our CARES committee members helped collect, sort, separate and deliver items to: SAFE, Culpeper; Culpeper Shelter; Community Touch, Bealeton; Fauquier Shelter; Vint Hill Transitional Housing; and MESA, Madison.

Greater Piedmont REALTORS® give out scholarships to 14 seniors from the 7 local high schools in our 4 county footprint.
There are two Boys & Girls Clubs within the Greater Piedmont Footprint and over the years we have partnered with them and donated time and resources so they can continue helping kids and teens in our area.
Due to the pandemic, the people living in nursing homes and assisted living facilities could not have family come visit or even visit much with others in the same facility. These residents were isolated.
For many years, Greater Piedmont has hosted blood drives in partnership with the American Red Cross.
The Town of Culpeper was in jeopardy of losing their USDA RD status that enables Culpeper residents to afford housing and experience the dream of homeownership.
